Frequently Asked Questions

(Email other questions to office@pawshumane.org)

Q- Do you need to see proof of income?

A- Yes, you will need to bring in tax paperwork from the previous tax year; if you don’t have that then we will need to see a Wage Inquiry from the Department of Labor. If you collect Social Security then we will need to see that yearly statement. To set up a surgery date you MUST bring proof of income to qualify for low-income because you need to pre-pay to get a date.

Q- Do I have to live in Columbus or even Georgia to use your Spay/Neuter Clinic?

A- No, anyone is welcome to use our services!

Q- My pet also needs vaccinations do you provide those?

A- Yes, we can do the vaccinations at time of spay/neuter.

Q- My pet is already spayed/neutered but needs vaccinations can I get that done at your clinic?

A- Yes, if your pet is already altered then just give us a call to set up an appointment.

Q- Do you declaw cats?

A- NO

Q- I know someone whom is housebound and they want to get their pet spay/neutered can I come out to take care of the paperwork and pre-pay for them?

A- Yes, we will just need to see that person’s I.D. and proof of income.

Q- When can I come out to sign my pet up for Spay/Neuter?

A- Any time between the hours of 10-3 Monday- Friday.

Q- Do you have a spay/neuter program for Feral cats?

A- Yes, if you have a feral cat (a cat that is untouchable & you can’t get near) we do have a Trap Neuter Release Program that includes: s/n, rabies, FeLV/FIV/Heartworm test and we clip the left ear. If you need a trap for an extra non-refundable $10 we can supply you with one, please call (706)565-0035 for more details.
