Volunteer opportunities for Under 18

Wish List Donation Drive

As you can imagine, our shelter goes through daily supplies very quickly and it can be costly to replenish our stock. This is where you can help! Simply organize a Wish List Donation Drive and turn the collected items in to our front desk during regular business hours. It’s that easy!

This volunteer option is perfect for:

  • Students seeking required volunteer hours – For every Wish List item donated, students will receive 10 minutes of volunteer time. Our front desk staff will provide you with a letter verifying your volunteer hours, if needed. Please note: items must be specific to our Wish Lists in order to receive volunteer time. No exceptions.
  • Clubs or groups wanting to fulfill community service hours
  • Anyone under the age of 18 looking for summer activities and a chance to help homeless animals

The shelter pet will respond and interact with you child via email “letter.” Children may choose to write to a cat or dog, and the shelter pet will respond to introduce themselves and get to know their pen pal. HAPPY WRITING!

Participation is easy! Check back soon to be matched with a shelter pet.
