Important Information About These Dogs
The dogs featured on this page face the highest risk of euthanasia due to behavioral or medical concerns and have the most urgent need to leave the shelter.
These at-risk dogs require additional advocacy to successfully transition out of the shelter. Their risk factors may include behavioral challenges, quality of life considerations, or deterioration in the shelter environment. The individual profiles provide specific information about each dog's placement requirements. Many dogs listed here have manageable behavioral or medical needs that, when combined with resource constraints, can lead to declining wellbeing in the shelter setting.
We are committed to transparent communication and ensuring successful matches between dogs and families. Our team will work diligently with all interested adopters, including those from out of state. Foster homes must be within reasonable driving distance of our shelter to accommodate medical or behavioral emergencies. Please understand that each dog has unique requirements and may not be suitable for every home environment. We aim to empower adopters and foster families to make informed decisions that align with their lifestyle while helping save lives.
To foster or adopt one of these dogs, please visit the shelter immediately to speak with our team about whether they would be a good match for your home. We are open to the public seven days a week. Every dog who finds a home creates a positive impact and saves a life.
